Shawarma Wrap with Harissa Mayo

A traditional Middle Eastern dish! Slowly baked Shawarma Chicken, with a chili heat coming from the Harissa mayo!

INGREDIENTS

Shawarma Wrap

  • 1 lb. beef or chicken, sliced
  • 1 red pepper, sliced
  • 1 green pepper, sliced
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 1 jar Al’FezTM Shawarma Marinade
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • 8 tortillas
  • 1 bag (approx. 340 g) salad greens
  • Pickled chilies (optional)

Harissa Mayo

  • 2 tbsp Al’FezTM Harissa Paste
  • 1 cup mayonnaise

INSTRUCTIONS

Shawarma Wrap

  1. In a bowl, mix sliced beef (or chicken), peppers, and onions with a jar of Al’FezTM Shawarma Marinade. Refrigerate for 15-20 min.
  2. In a frying pan, heat olive oil and cook the marinated beef (or chicken) and vegetables on high. Add salt to taste.
  3. Heat one tortilla, add some salad greens, some of the beef (or chicken) and vegetable mix, some harissa mayo, and fold into a wrap. Repeat with the remaining tortillas. Serve with a side of Harissa Mayo and pickled chilies.

Harissa Mayo

  1. In a bowl, add Al’FezTM Harissa Paste and mayonnaise. Mix well.
